Leader as Coach: Navigating Leadership in Flux

In a world with rapid, constant, and uncertain disruptive change, mastering vital coaching skills is an indispensable skill for leaders. By honing their coaching skills, leaders can elevate communication, enhance interpersonal dynamics, and cultivate a culture of continuous learning within their teams.

Between 14th and 17th November 2023, we trained 18 managers and business leaders in the Leader as Coach Programme, a Programme tailored to enhance leadership skills through a coaching approach. The cross-pollination of the different leaders’ perspectives further augmented the Programme’s effectiveness, offering varied insights into implementing coaching methodologies across different professional landscapes.

The sessions delved into critical topics; from laying the foundations of coaching to fostering self-awareness, coaching for performance, and harnessing emotional intelligence. Each session was crafted to equip the leaders with essential tools for success. The foundations of coaching provided a robust framework for understanding the core principles, while self-awareness triggered the participants’ introspection and personal growth. The coaching for performance session aimed to hone the participants’ abilities to leverage their teams’ strengths, and the exploration of emotional intelligence empowered them to navigate complex leadership scenarios with grace and understanding.

Their mentorship injects invaluable real-world insights, enriching the program and guiding participants on effective integration of coaching principles into diverse leadership scenarios.”
