Business Advisory Service Providers (BASPs) are key stakeholders in the SME sector, a sector that is a key driver of growth, innovation, and employment, representing more than 90% of businesses in Kenya and employing up to 75% of the active working population.
BASPs have a key role to play in structuring complex deals, mobilizing capital and optimizing the inclusive growth business models required for Kenya to achieve its national and county-level objectives.
By building the capacity of BASPs through training and technical assistance, BASPs have developed better financial modeling and business advisory skills to support SMEs. With the right capacity and experience to support SMEs and investors, they can accelerate and direct large volumes of investment.
It is against this backdrop that the Strathmore University Business School came up with a Thought Leadership event for BASPs with the aim to help them Connect, Grow, and Impact!
