In today’s fast-paced and dynamic educational landscape, continuous learning and development are indispensable for faculty members to excel in their roles. Recognizing this imperative, Strathmore University Business School last week conducted a comprehensive Faculty Development Programme tailored specifically for our esteemed faculty members.

This Programme, designed to enhance teaching effectiveness, research productivity, and professional growth, brought together faculty members, senior faculty members and industry experts from diverse fields to share valuable knowledge, insights and skills to the faculty members.

Throughout the Programme, faculty members were immersed in a rich learning experience, delving into a range of topics, from mastering the art of conducting quality research to effectively communicating findings to academic audiences, writing for publication, understanding grant writing and funding opportunities, and honing their skills in case writing—an integral component of scholarly discourse.

Moreover, the Programme went beyond traditional academic realms, providing faculty members with practical guidance on engaging with the media and enhancing their public speaking prowess.

Industry luminaries such as Macharia Gaitho, Brian Okutoyi, Wallace Kantai, Hannah Githuki, and Dr. Amakove Wala shared their expertise on grey literature writing, impactful radio and TV interviews, public speaking, personal branding, and crafting impactful CVs.

These sessions equipped faculty members with valuable tools and techniques to effectively communicate their research findings, engage with diverse audiences, and elevate their professional profiles.
