Introduction To Blended Learning Program on Hospital Management

Introduction

The Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM), Strathmore Business School (SBS) in collaboration with Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences, Germany, developed and implemented a Blended Learning Programme on Hospital Management.

The program is offered online with 5 days of face to face training. Two cohorts have been trained so far with the third cohort beginning on 14th January 2019.

The program is currently on sustainability mode with students paying fees for the program.

Wellcome Trust Master’s Fellowship in Public Health and Tropical Medicine

Title: ‘Can patients understand and use regulatory results? Investigating the influence of risk-rating of health facilities on community engagement and accountability mechanisms in two Kenyan counties.

Research fellow: Irene Khayoni

The study seeks to investigate how regulatory risk-rating of health facilities feeds into community engagement and accountability mechanisms. The study findings will inform policy on how to increase public engagement/involvement in health facility regulation and how to capitalize on community accountability mechanisms to improve services.

Kuehne Foundation

To address some of the challenges supply chain and logistics operations, Kuehne Foundation is supporting Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM), at Strathmore Business School to offer training on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM).

Kuehne Foundation is also supporting IHM to build internal capacity in Logistics and Supply Chain Management research and training. This will include support for curricula development for short courses, Masters Programmes, field trips, PhD training and workshops.

PAMELA STEELE ASSOCIATES (PSA)

Institute of Healthcare Management has signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pamela Steele Associates (PSA), to formalize joint research, training and consultancy on health and humanitarian supply chains in LMIC’s.
