Dr. Tabitha Wanjiku Njuguna

Dr. Tabitha Njuguna is a member of the faculty at Strathmore University Business School with over 13 years’ experience in teaching finance and accounting courses.

She is also an IFC-LPI TPMA certified trainer, the Trainer Performance Monitoring and Assessment (TPMA) certification offered jointly by IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and the Learning and Performance Institute (the LPI), a global authority on learning and workplace development.

Her experience spans from training corporates in finance for non-finance managers program, entrepreneurship programs for small business owners and youths on aspects of bookkeeping, financial planning and management and risk management.

Dr. Njuguna lectures an array of finance courses at Strathmore University Business School to bachelor’s and professional accounting students including advanced Financial Management, International Finance, Real Estate Finance, Investment and Portfolio Management and Management Accounting. She has also co-authored a Financial Management textbook. Prior to joining Strathmore University, she worked in the financial services sector at NCBA.

Qualifications

PhD in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Nairobi

Masters of Commerce (Finance) degree from Strathmore University.

Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from the University of Nairobi.

An affiliate of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).

Prior to joining Strathmore University, Tabitha worked at Commercial Bank of Africa.

Tabitha is also involved in teaching finance courses for Executive Education Programmes at the Business School.

Her research interest spans corporate finance, real estate finance and portfolio investments analysis.
