
Dr. Sarah Adhiambo Awinyo

Sarah has 20 + years of experience in the services sector and is a highly driven marketing expert.
Before joining academia, Sarah’s corporate experience includes Tourism Promotion Services, sales and marketing manager at Siginon Group, strategic account manager at G4S Kenya, and National sales manager at G4S Courier Services. Additionally, Sarah provides training and consulting in the public and private sectors in strategic marketing planning, sales strategy, digital strategy, Key account management, and strategic planning.
Sarah commenced her lecturing role at Moi University between 2009 to 2016 as an adjunct Marketing lecturer, at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Furthermore, Sarah has served as a CIM lecturer at various institutions from 2010 to the present. Sarah’s journey at Strathmore University began in 2015 at the Strathmore Institute as a CIM-approved lecturer providing lectures and support for marketing professionals at the Professional Diploma and Professional Postgraduate levels (Levels 6 &7).
In addition to teaching marketing classes at Strathmore University Business School, Sarah supervises graduate and undergraduate students’ dissertations. She has taught a variety of marketing courses. Sarah is enthusiastic about mentoring students, teaching, and research.
Her areas of research interest are Digital Marketing, branding, customer relationship management, and consumer behaviour.
