Prof. Ruth N. Kiraka is Associate Professor of Management (Strategy and Entrepreneurship) at Strathmore University, Kenya. I am a researcher, trainer, consultant, mentor and an ACC credentialed coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). As a researcher and consultant, I seek to enhance research in various sectors affecting the economy and to collaborate with partners to influence policy and business practice in Kenya. My research interests include Enterprise development, Gender equity, Women in leadership, Women and Youth entrepreneurship and empowerment, Management education, Academic practice, and Internationalisation, governance and administration in higher education.

As a trainer and coach, I develop training and mentorship programmes for SME development. I also develop short professional development courses for industry practitioners. I also mentor and coach entrepreneurs.

Until recently, I served as the Dean, School of Graduate Studies, at the same university for ten years. My key responsibilities included providing direction with regard to the implementation of approved policies and procedures pertaining to graduate studies, curriculum development and review of graduate curricula, programme accreditation for graduate programmes, monitoring the quality of graduate studies and research, and seeking research funding. I also provided supervision, coaching and mentorship to graduate students, which I have continued to do.
