Dr. Juliana Njeri Kamau is a Finance Educator, Researcher, and Financial Consultant at Strathmore Business School, with over 16 years of teaching experience across undergraduate, diploma, and executive education levels.

She holds:

  • Master of Commerce in Finance from Strathmore University
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Strathmore University

  • the integration of AI in financial decision-making.

Conferences

She has presented her work at international conferences such as the Economic Science Association Africa Meeting, and the Innovative Economic Symposium (IES). In 2025, one of her teaching cases was published by Strathmore Africa Case Centre (SACC): Available online.

Teaching

Dr. Juliana Kamau teaches a wide range of finance courses, including

  • Financial Planning and Wealth Management

  • Financial Services.

She has supervised over 200 undergraduate projects and currently oversees Master’s-level thesis work. She was voted Best Female Lecturer by the SBS graduating class of 2025 in recognition of her dedication to teaching and mentorship. She has mentored hundreds of finance students, many of whom she continues to support through graduate school applications, job placements, and professional growth. She frequently serves as an academic and professional referee, especially for students she has supervised or engaged in academic competitions, and other scholarly engagements.

Beyond Academia

Beyond academia, Dr. Juliana Kamau is a passionate advocate for children with neurodiversity, a mentor and coach for youth-focused academic and financial literacy programs, and an active volunteer in financial education initiatives for underserved communities. She believes that financial empowerment and inclusive education are critical tools for social transformation.
