Dr. Kuthea Nguti
Faculty — Marketing, Strategy and Entrepreneurship
Strathmore University Business School, Nairobi, Kenya
She is a published researcher whose work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals and she is an active contributor to internationally funded research programmes on gender equality and social inclusion, climate adaptation and entrepreneurship in Kenya. Some of the research studies have been funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) through the Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) Programme, one of the largest climate research programmes operating in East Africa. Dr. Nguti has conducted research across multiple Kenyan counties, working directly with climate entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and incubator networks. Her research sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship, Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), and sustainable development — with a particular focus on how entrepreneurship ecosystems in Kenya and East Africa can be designed to deliver value to women, persons with disabilities, and other marginalised groups. She brings a distinctive interdisciplinary lens to her scholarship, grounded in Macrosocial Marketing and applied to questions of entrepreneurship, consumer behaviour, career progression, scholarship and social impact using a mixed methods design
