Introduction
This Executive Education Programme aims to bridge the knowledge gap in devolution and public finance management (PFM) for key decision-makers and other key stakeholders in Kenya’s decentralization landscape. Targeting National and County government officials, development sector professionals, and media practitioners (especially editors). The program explores the interface and how these systems work together to impact service delivery and governance. Participants gain practical knowledge of Kenya’s devolved system of governance, the budget-making process, the roles of the various institutions and actors, and the mechanics of service delivery, ultimately equipping them to evaluate the effectiveness of devolution in its contribution to political, economic, and governance outcomes.
The programme is a partnership between The Institute of Public Policy & Governance (IPPG) at the Strathmore University Business School (SBS) and Bajeti Hub. The program, which explores Kenya’s system of devolved governance landscape, the roles of various actors and stakeholders, as well as processes in the PFM, is suited for senior leaders within the public sector, the development sector, and the private sector

This Executive Programme is designed for high-level decision-makers who play a critical role in Kenya’s devolution and public finance management (PFM) landscape. Here’s a breakdown of the target audience by sector:
National and County Government: Senior government officials, including Principal Secretaries (PSs), Directors, and Senior Managers at both levels of government.
Development Sector: Actors working within Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and development aid agencies.
