Sponsorship & Funding: The fellowship is fully sponsored by the project with international funding received from the European Union Horizon Europe framework under Grant Agreement Number 101190614 — DIDIDI.

Host Academic Institutions: The fellowship will be undertaken at Université de Strathmore within a collaborative framework involving the Institut de gestion des soins de santé and the Centre for Climate Change and Health at the Strathmore University Business School.
Goal of the PhD Training
- Targeted Academic Growth: To nurture ambitious, self-motivated students with an intensive passion for healthcare leadership, advanced research, and policy formulation.
- Core Objectives: To equip the fellow with intellectual capabilities to advance critical healthcare management solutions and contribute significantly to high-level academic and field research
Course Units
| The programme is a combination of taught units and research. |

| It has a course loading of six (6) compulsory units undertaken in the first year of study. These may be complemented by elective courses based on individual candidate requirements and focus areas. |
| The course is taught in a modular format, with students reporting for the face-to-face classes for two weeks every eight to ten weeks. |
| Passing of the taught courses is compulsory for upgrading from PhD studentship to PhD candidature at the end of the first year. |
| The degree is awarded based on the completion of a PhD research process, which entails completion of a PhD thesis, oral Défense, and publication of at least three articles in peer-reviewed journals. |
Conditions d'admission
- Academic Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree, with at least one of these degrees being in business or management.
- Field Specialization: The Master’s degree should ideally be in Healthcare Management, Health Economics, Public Health, Business Management, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Possess at least three (3) years of management or research experience specifically within the healthcare sector.
- Language Proficiency: Must display strong proficiency in both spoken and written English.

- Master’s research dissertation/thesis
- Concept note (Approx. 1,500 words)
- Two reference letters (Preferably both academic; if not, one academic and one professional)
- Copy of ID or passport bio page
- Passport photo
Funding
The fellowship will cover a monthly stipend, academic-related travel, conference, and networking activity support, as well as research activities.
