Here are some steps that can be taken to promote circular economy skills in Kenya:

• Curriculum Integration. By integrating circular economy principles into the national educational curriculum, from primary to higher education levels goes a long way in inculcating circularity knowledge and skills in the youth from a very young age.
• Innovative Teaching Pedagogies. Our education system needs to explore innovative teaching and learning methodologies that foster a deep understanding of circular economy principles and encourage creativity, problem-solving, and systems thinking.
• Vocational Training. Development of vocational training programs and workshops that specifically focus on circular economy practices. These programs can target individuals in both urban and rural areas to ensure widespread awareness and adoption of circular principles.
• Public Private Partnerships. Encouraging collaboration between different stakeholders, including the government, educational institutions, businesses, and civil society, is key to driving the circular economy forward in Kenya. Such partnerships can help create a supportive environment for circular economy initiatives and promote the adoption of sustainable practices throughout the country.
• Capacity Building for Professionals. Provision of specialized training for professionals in various sectors (e.g., manufacturing, agriculture, construction) to equip them with the necessary skills to implement circular practices in their industries.
