The Senior Management Leadership Programme, Class of 2020 and 2021 Visit IESE Business School, Spain for their International Module

On the 22nd of November 2021, participants from the Senior Management Leadership Programme, class of 2020 and 2021 traveled to IESE Business School in Madrid, Spain for their international module.

The international module is a week-long visit at an international university and seeks to expose the participants to global trends, innovation practices and challenges, as well as leadership through periods of growth and turbulence, as has been occasioned by the pandemic.

During the week-long Programme, the participants interact with leading international Faculty from the IESE Business School – University of Navarre, which has a branch in Madrid, Spain. The module covered various topics in global macro-economic trends, career success and happiness, digital density and strategies, marketing and effective negotiations. The sessions included a simulation session on the bullwhip effect that characterizes the supply chain as is currently the case across the globe.

The trip included a visit to the Cofares – a macro-robotized pharmaceutical warehouse and distribution plant at Guadalajara, 50 kms from Madrid. Cofares is operated by Cofares Sociedad Cooperativa Farmaceutica Espanola and distributes pharmaceutical products in Spain and Europe and is expanding into Africa. The visit offered an opportunity to see the latest innovation in supply chain management and robotics. It also brought out the need to understand the global nature of current operations of businesses.

The Senior Management Leadership Programme offers a transformational learning experience that prepares senior executives taking on responsibilities at the highest level.
