Strathmore University Business School last week trained 36 participants from Uganda in the Executive Management Programme Uganda Module. The participants trained through this Programme are beneficiaries of the African Catholic Scholarship Program. The Programme took place at the University of Kisubi in Entebbe, Uganda, and ran from the 7th – 11th April 2021.

The Africa Catholic Scholarship Program provides access to educational opportunities and additional courses including servant leadership, child protection, and safeguarding, executive business skills, and Catholic Social Teaching to consecrated women and men and laypersons working with and for the Church who have been selected for their future leadership roles.

Porticus Africa appointed SBS to be their knowledge partner in developing the skills of the beneficiaries through the African Catholic Scholarship Program on executive management skills, thus the Executive Management Programme(EMP) designed and developed by SBS. The Programme will be rolled out in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

The Executive Management Programme aims to increase the number of catholic sisters, priests, brothers, and laypeople with management skills to effectively lead the church’s ministry to the people of East Africa.

Further, the Programme aims to build leadership and management capabilities within the Africa Catholic Scholarship Program and embed best practices management skills based on research.
