Last week, we partnered with the NCBA Group to deliver the Effective Manager Programme, an intensive five-day programme brought together professionals and managers seeking to strengthen their leadership, strategic thinking, and managerial effectiveness in today’s dynamic business environment.
The programme was designed to equip participants with practical management competencies through a blend of case preparation, expert-led sessions, and interactive learning.
The opening sessions focused on the transition from manager to leader, highlighting the evolving role of managers as strategic thinkers and people leaders. Participants explored the importance of self-awareness, leadership styles, and authenticity, gaining insights into how personal leadership approaches shape organisational culture and team performance. These sessions emphasised that effective leadership begins with understanding one’s strengths, values, and impact on others.
A key highlight of the programme was the focus on building and leading high-performance teams. Through engaging discussions on team dynamics and performance management, participants examined strategies to motivate employees, foster collaboration, and create environments that enable teams to perform at their best. Managers were also introduced to practical coaching techniques, equipping them with the skills to mentor, guide, and support their teams’ professional development.
The programme further strengthened participants’ analytical and strategic capabilities through sessions on business analysis and effective decision-making.
