Strathmore University has achieved a significant milestone, receiving accreditation from APMG International to offer the Certified Public-Private Partnerships Professional (CP3P) programme, a globally recognized standard for excellence in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) capacity development.
Developed with support from the World Bank Group and leading international development finance institutions, the CP3P certification is widely regarded as the global benchmark for PPP professional competence. Administered internationally by APMG International, the programme equips practitioners with globally accepted standards, frameworks, and best practices in PPP project development and implementation, enhancing the professional credibility of those working across infrastructure development, public finance, investment promotion, and public sector transformation.
Strathmore University is now among a select group of institutions on the continent authorized to deliver the CP3P programme and examination pathway, positioning it as a regional leader in PPP executive education and professional training. Participants enrolled in the University’s Public-Private Partnerships programmes will have the opportunity to undertake specialized executive education and sit for the internationally administered CP3P examinations, attaining certification that is recognized across global markets.
The accreditation is expected to strengthen regional capacity in structuring, financing, and managing sustainable infrastructure partnerships across Africa and beyond, while reinforcing Strathmore University’s commitment to world-class education, policy and governance excellence, and the growing demand for globally aligned expertise in infrastructure and development finance.
