Between 17th and 21st July 2023, the Sisters’ Blended Value Project (SBVP) trained 21 Catholic sisters from Uganda in Level 2 of the Managing Social Enterprises Programme.

This Uganda cohort came after the Kenya cohort which ran between 10th to 14th July and saw 27 sisters go through the same Programme. This week, the Programme moves to Zambia and will run between 24th to 28th July 2023.

The Managing Social Enterprises Programme is structured to equip sisters in managerial cadres with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and abilities to address current social enterprise issues and challenges creatively, innovatively, and sustainably.

By the end of the Programme, the sisters gained an understanding of how to effectively contribute to and engage proactively in a social enterprise and engage the manager in reflecting on issues of impact and income.

The Sisters Blended Value Project (SBVP) is funded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and implemented by Strathmore University Business School (SBS) in partnership with the Association of Consecrated Women in Eastern and Central Africa (ACWECA).
