SBS Alumna Appointed Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Health, Kenya

Strathmore University Business School congratulates Nakhumicha Susan Wafula on her recent appointment as the Cabinet Secretary for the Kenya Ministry of Health.

Prior to her appointment, she served as the Head of Supply at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) in the Global Program for Research and Training. She has also previously worked at the Nairobi Women’s Hospital as the Head of Procurement and Logistics and the Purchasing Manager of the Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies.

Nakhumicha holds a Bachelor Degree in Procurement and Management, a Master’s degree in Logistics, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Management at JKUAT. She also holds a Diploma in Pharmacy from Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) and a Diploma in Healthcare Management from the Kenya Institute of Management.
