Last week, we trained 50 women entrepreneurs in the second cohort of the Women investor Readiness Programme. The participants trained in this Programme were female entrepreneurs from diverse sectors such as agriculture, construction, education, hospitality and tourism, healthcare, textiles and apparel and renewable energy.
This Programme, a partnership between Strathmore University Business School and USAID’s Kenya Investment Mechanism Program, aims to equip female entrepreneurs with skills and knowledge to get their businesses to the next level by helping them become investor ready.
The training covered topics such as success planning, financial management, corporate governance, investor readiness and business coaching among others. After the five days of classroom training, the participants will for the next two months, go through business and pitch coaching. They will better understand pitching skills and learn how to develop investable pitch decks and get linkage to business advisory service providers (BASPs) and investors.
Intake for cohort 3 of the Programme is ongoing!
