Advanced Management Programme Alumna Appointed CEO of Uganda Tourism Board

Strathmore University Business School proudly congratulates Juliana Kagwa on her appointment as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Uganda Tourism Board. A distinguished alumna of our Programme de gestion avancée, Juliana brings nearly two decades of leadership experience spanning fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), agriculture, and corporate relations.

Her career is marked by a proven track record in brand growth, stakeholder engagement, and driving sustainable development. Prior to this appointment, she served as Group Marketing & Sales Director at Seed Co International and previously held senior roles at Uganda Breweries Ltd. (UBL) — a subsidiary of Diageo — where she led strategic initiatives in marketing, innovation, and corporate relations.

Juliana holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology from Makerere University. Her elevation to this national leadership role is a testament to her vision, tenacity, and commitment to excellence.
