Strathmore University Business School (SBS) has entered a groundbreaking partnership with Excelink—the organization behind the renowned Executive Connect platform—to co-create a transformative ecosystem for executive leadership in Africa. This strategic alliance blends academic excellence with real-world executive development, addressing the growing need for visionary leadership across the continent.

The SBS–Excelink collaboration is built around a multi-faceted approach to leadership growth. At its core, it offers personalized leadership development opportunities, including one-on-one coaching sessions with certified professionals, structured mentorship programs that connect emerging leaders with experienced executives, and interactive leadership panels featuring some of Africa’s most accomplished business minds.

The partnership also delivers a range of innovative learning experiences. Executives will engage in monthly book club discussions on contemporary business literature, benefit from specialized training in digital leadership and strategic management, and participate in intensive, residential leadership bootcamps combining academic instruction with hands-on, experiential learning.

Additionally, the collaboration will host flagship knowledge-sharing platforms such as the Réseau Transform Africa, an annual summit focused on continental business transformation, and the Executive Connect Series, a quarterly forum for dialogue with global business icons.

This collaboration is also poised to become a leading research and thought leadership source on African executive development. Key initiatives include collaborative research on African Leadership in the Digital Age (the 2024 research theme), the development of white papers exploring governance models for family-owned businesses in emerging markets, and case studies documenting effective leadership transitions within African corporations.

Members of the Executive Connect community will gain access to a host of exclusive benefits. These include a 20 per cent discount on SBS Executive Education programs, a custom-designed 12-month executive program that blends digital and in-person learning formats, and global exchange opportunities with some of the world’s leading business schools—namely GIBS Business School in South Africa, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, IESE Business School in Spain, and Yale School of Management in the United States.
