Strathmore Business School through its partnership with Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences(HNU), Germany is providing solid, theoretical and practical knowledge in Hospital Management which will in turn help in transferring knowledge from research to policy and community interventions. The extensive program in healthcare management is designed to provide hospital managers (medical doctors, nurses, managers and administrators) with the necessary knowledge to extend their competences and improve their skills.
The program follows a blended learning method, with the online modules being followed by a face-to-face workshop. The entire course will be supported by a tutor, who will be in direct contact with the participants throughout the modules. The continuous interaction amongst participants, as well as between participants, tutor and lecturers is an integral part of the course’s design. Each module has to be completed within four weeks. Student progress has to be effectively monitored and the monitoring is linked to procedures to allow for prompt intervention where appropriate.
The specialized program is addressed to medical doctors, nurses, managers and administrators of hospitals or similar professions coming from Cameroon, Kenya, Malawi and Tanzania. Participants receive a scholarship, training costs and necessary travel expenses in Germany as well as health insurance. The program is financed by the Federal Government of Germany.
