The Regional Management Development Programme (MDP) brings together leaders from across East and Central Africa who want to grow, adapt, and make a bigger impact in their organizations. Designed for middle-level managers, the programme helps participants sharpen how they think, lead, and deliver results in an environment that keeps changing whether it’s through digital shifts, new technologies, or evolving business realities.

This year’s class brought together 14 participants from Uganda and Tanzania, four from Tanzania’s Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSF) and ten from Uganda, representing Pride Bank, I&M Bank, Movit Products Ltd, and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development. The mix of industries and countries made for rich conversations, fresh perspectives, and strong regional connections — the kind that outlast the classroom.

Module One – Strategy into Action

The first module in July focused on helping managers move from planning to execution, turning strategy into something that works on the ground. Ugandan participants attended in person while their Tanzanian colleagues joined virtually, blending physical and online learning smoothly. By the end of the module, participants had formed small group coaching teams, each tasked with developing a project that would apply their learning to real business challenges.

Module Two – Leading with Clarity and Connection

In August, the group came together again, this time in Dar es Salaam. The focus shifted to how leaders communicate, make decisions, and hold themselves accountable. The sessions encouraged honest reflection and practical tools for managing teams and performance across diverse settings. The ongoing group coaching helped participants test ideas and learn from each other’s experiences.

Module Three – Authentic Leadership and Regional Impact

The final module took place in Nairobi this October. It encouraged participants to look inward, to understand their leadership style, manage change, and drive innovation with confidence. The module ended with a company visit to Ronalds LLP, giving participants a behind-the-scenes look at operational excellence and leadership in practice.

The 2025 Regional MDP class will graduate on 18th November in Uganda. As they close this chapter, the participants carry not just new knowledge, but also strong professional networks and a renewed sense of purpose. The Regional MDP has grown into more than just a learning programme, it’s a space where leaders connect, challenge each other, and grow together.
