On a radiant Friday morning, February 9th, 2024, amidst the picturesque landscape of the Windsor Golf Club and Country Club, anticipation filled the air as the stage was set for the highly anticipated 2024 edition of the Strathmore University Alumni Golf Tournament.

As the sun cast its warm rays upon the manicured greens, more than 150 Strathmore University alumni gathered to kick-start this year’s tournament. Beyond showcasing their golfing prowess on the course, there was a deeper purpose driving their swings – advocating for mental health awareness.

In a world where mental health issues are often overlooked or stigmatized, the Strathmore Alumni Golf Tournament seized the opportunity to shine a spotlight on this critical issue. Through the game of golf, participants not only enjoyed a day of friendly competition but also engaged in meaningful conversations about mental well-being.

The tournament was more than just a sporting event; it was a platform for fostering connections, raising awareness, and making a tangible difference in the lives of others. It embodied the spirit of community and compassion that defines Strathmore University and its alumni.

As the last swing echoed across the fairway, it symbolized more than just the end of a tournament – it marked the continuation of a legacy. A legacy of impact, where individuals come together to support meaningful causes, uplift one another, and leave a lasting imprint on society.

Amongst the champions, Miako, an alumna of the Senior Management Leadership Programme at Strathmore University Business School, emerged victorious, claiming the grand prize, and adding her name to the list of tournament winners.

The 2024 Strathmore University Alumni Golf Tournament stands as a testament to the power of unity, compassion, and collective action. It serves as a reminder that when we come together with purpose, we can create positive change and inspire others to do the same.

As we celebrate the champions and reflect on the success of this year’s tournament, let us carry forward the spirit of generosity, resilience, and community that defines Strathmore University. Together, let us continue to tee off for causes that matter and shape a brighter future for all.
