Six students undertaking the Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain and Operations Management Programme were recently awarded their certification from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation (CILT).
The six were part of the winners in the Shift to Connect Competition 2022 and were awarded a scholarship to undertake the CILT accreditation, sponsored by Harley Reed Kenya. Harley Reed Kenya continues to enhance professional development in supply chain and logistics through its partnerships with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation (CILT) and the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supplies (CIPS). Strathmore University Business School is grateful to Harley Reed and CILT for opening up to develop top teams through provision of bursaries for CILT.
The Shift to Connect Competition aims to find solutions for pressing societal problems. Further, the Competition aims to solve two main prevalent issues: complexities in the supply chain and youth unemployment in order to improve people’s lives in different communities through economic, social, environmental and technological aspects.
The BSc. Supply Chain and Operations Management Programme is designed to integrate supply chain, logistics, operations and digitization. Special emphasis is placed on Production, Logistics, Big Data, BlockChain, Automation and Artificial Intelligence, and how they will impact supply chain and operations management in the near and far future.
