Strathmore University Business School (SBS) Graduates 230 Executives in the 2022 Executive Education Graduation

On Friday, 2nd December 2022, Strathmore University Business School (SBS)  graduated 230 executives from various Executive Education Programmes. The participants graduating were pulled from different sectors with representation from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, South Africa and the Netherlands.

The theme of the graduation: Thriving Beyond Global Challenges: Reimagine, Reinvent and Rebuild was based on the challenges in the global business landscape over the past two to three years.

In his remarks, Dr. Caesar Mwangi, the newly appointed Executive Dean, Strathmore University Business School (SBS) applauded the graduates for their continued zeal and agility over the past two to three years. “As today’s leaders, you are expected to be dynamic and  agile enough to adapt so as to better lead your organizations. We are proud that today we graduate leaders who can reimagine, reinvent and rebuild their organizations,” Dr. Caesar noted.

Dr. Vincent Ogutu, Vice Chancellor, Strathmore University noted the commitment that the Business School has in developing great African leaders who not only appreciate current market dynamics but are also well-prepared to lead organizations to evolve and thrive beyond the global challenges.

The guest speaker, Jane Karuku, the Managing Director, East Africa Breweries Limited, urged  graduands to always seek their highest and best self so that they can draw out the best of themselves and those they work with.

Speaking during the graduation, Dr. Fred Mwirigi Mugambi, the Commissioner in charge of the Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA), and an alumnus of the Advanced Management Programme, shared nuggets of wisdom for great leadership. Find someone who will tell you truths that no one else will,” he told the new graduates.
