SBS Alumnus Appointed Director General, Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA)

Strathmore University Business School congratulates Patrick Wanjuki on his recent appointment as the Director-General, Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), effective 1st April 2022.

He brings on board more than 20 years of experience in procurement practice, strategic management and policy of well-developed procurement and supply chain departments of the public sector and diverse private sectors.

Patrick is currently the General Manager, Procurement & Logistics at the Kenya Airports Authority. He has previously worked as Head of Procurement at the National Transport and Safety Authority, Manager-Procurement & Supplies at Kenya Revenue Authority, Coca Cola and Procter & Gamble. He has also been the Procurement Specialist for the World Bank Funded Infrastructure and Reforms Projects Procurements at Kenya Revenue Authority, the National Transport and Safety Authority and Kenya Airports Authority.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Procurement Law & Policy from the University of Nottingham, a Masters of Laws Degree in Corporate Governance, Bachelor of Laws Degree and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance, all from the University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management. Patrick is also an alumnus of the Senior Management Leadership Programme, Class of 2020.
