This week, 32 participants from the Programme for Management Development, class of 2020 and class of 2021 have been at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in South Africa for their international module. Of the 32 participants, 30 are from Kenya and two are from Uganda.
The international module is designed to give the participants a feel of the business landscape across the continent and globally. This year’s module was centred around operational excellence, innovation and digital disruption.
This module consisted of week-long sessions facilitated by faculty members from GIBS Business School: Dr. Jeff Chen, Monique Stock, Trevarin Govender, and Ian Clark and his team. Apart from the class sessions, the participants also had activities such as simulation exercises and case study discussions which were aimed at sharpening critical thinking and inculcating teamwork.
