Owner Manager Programme: Facilitating Cross-Border Learning for African Business Leaders

Between 24^th and 28^th July 2023, we hosted participants of the Owner Manager Programme for their third module of the Programme. This week-long module came after a second module which took place at the Lagos Business School in Nigeria, in June 2023.

For this third module, the participants included 10 participants of the Owner Manager Programme from Lagos Business School.

The aim of bringing together participants together was to foster regional business ties, encourage cross-border collaborations, and promote a broader understanding of the East African business landscape, especially for our visitors from the West.  It also provided an opportunity for the participants to learn from each other’s unique experiences and challenges, potentially leading to innovative solutions and strengthened business relationships, in line with our theme developing great African leaders.

By sharing insights and best practices, the business leaders sought to cultivate innovative solutions and forge lasting business relationships that extend beyond borders.

The module culminated in a company visit to Tropical Heat, a prominent player in the region’s food processing industry. Through interactions with the management at Tropical Heat, the participants were able to gain practical insights into running an SME and fostered a deeper understanding of the local business environment and market dynamics.
