Strathmore Business School will host the annual conference gathering – AABS Connect Annual Conference 2014. The conference, which is run on an annual basis, aims at connecting African business school practitioners and thought leaders to encourage dialogue in search of competitive approaches to aid African business and management education growth strategy.
The AABS Connect Annual Conference 2013 whose theme was Business Schools as Generator of African Competitiveness, was held in mid-may at HEM Business School in Casablanca- Morocco.
The three-day event provided a platform for networking, exchange and reflection to about 80 delegates from 23 countries and had reached high proportions by the participation of prominent speakers coming from Africa, Europe and the United States.
Great exposés were presented about Africas competitiveness, the comparatives with other models in Asia, the skills and the human capital needed to get Africa ahead of the curve along with the lessons to learn about Finance from global models and more importantly the role of Business Schools as generators of pragmatic pedagogical models and actionable research to set the tone for a more coherent Africa.
