SBS, IFC MoU to Build Capacity in the Transport Sector

Strathmore Business School (SBS) in collaboration with International Finance Cooperation (IFC) – A World Bank Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the objective of building capacity for SMEs in the road transport sector.

SBS and IFC have expressed mutual interest and consensus to pool resources, skills, and experiences from both organizations and other institutions related to the road sector, to enable SMEs’ bid for tenders and win more public contracts in relation to construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance projects.

The collaboration is expected to increase access to market opportunities and facilitate improved relations within the value chain, leading to an increase in the number of contracts awarded to SME’s.

  • Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA)
  • Kenya Institute of Management (KIM)
  • Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA)
  • International Labour Organization
  • HURU Consult
  • Kenya Institute of Highways & Building Technology (KIHBIT)
