Owner Managers congregated at Strathmore Business School for Module II of the Owner Manager Program (OMP) themed Getting Ready for What Lies Ahead at Strathmore Business School. The five day module program began on the 8th May with a session on Establishing a Pan African Business.
The participants went through sessions on dynamics of new markets, negotiations, communication, branding, diversification and competing in markets. The sessions were taught by a pool of both local and international faculty including Dr. Edward Mungai, Betty Radier, James Nyiha, Prof. David Sperling, Douglass de Villiers.
The owner managers had the opportunity of sharing their entrepreneurship journeys with each other in key sessions which highlighted their current businesses. This session enabled the entrepreneurs to share how their businesses began, how they are currently running and other aspects that affect their businesses.
Module III of the program will be held from the 2nd 6th July 2012.
Entrepreneurship contributes to a significant portion of the East African regions economy. Harnessing this talent and key economic driver can only be captured through best-practice knowledge from resources such as faculty, industry experts and experience in a forum of rich learning.
