The Africa Journal of Management (AJOM) and Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), launched the first edition of the journal on the 7th January 2016 at Strathmore Business School (SBS).
The journal sewn to give insights to practitioners dealing with economic integration on a daily basis, under the umbrella theme, Managing in an Integrating East Africa, will explore the environment of doing business in the East African Community, make known the challenges and opportunities in the regional market, as well as fill the gap between existing researches in management literature, with which specifically concerns regional integration business. This is aimed at understanding what makes management in a regional context unique.
AJOM is one of the few management journals which has documented the experiences of industry managers. Just but to mention a few, the journal contain articles from: John Mirenge, CEO – Rwand Air, George Njoroge, CEO – East African Data Handlers; Lain Gibson, Deputy Managing Director – Famers Choice, among others. This will provide great insights for policy-makers, academics and aspiring business managers from the East African region and the rest of the world.
