The Master in Public Policy and Management Program (MPPM) is designed to develop the general management skills of results-oriented professionals in the public sector and non-governmental organizations with reasonable career experience. The program offers skill sets that are uniquely tailored to aid Government officers involved in policy formulation, senior managers in Non-Governmental Organisation and Development Organisations, Principal Secretaries, Directors and senior managers in government parastatals, Cabinet Secretaries and Members of national and county assemblies.

The MPPM program will help public sector professionals understand the Policy-making processes, including policy development & implementation, gain knowledge of multi-level governance, policy interests, actors and power in the domestic, African and International Policy Arenas with a broad grasp of Public Economics and Market Failure and the Theories of policy-making. The MPPM will also have a strong practice-oriented approach which will be reflected in the use of case studies (which already constitute the core approach used on the current SBS MBA for Executives). The program will also integrate practitioners into teaching and research, as well as a project-oriented Master’s dissertation.
