A five-week integrated business leadership program has been set up for middle level management and supervisors from the Kenya Power Company. The training will be held at the Lake Bogoria Spa Resort where SBS is the strategic partner through the In-Company Program, in designing the training which will see through 175 participants (in 5 groups of 35 each) with a mix of line managers, engineers, and branch business heads receive training.
SBS Executive Education, via the SBS In-Company Programs, has developed a unique curriculum with action-learning solutions that will meet organizations specific goals. The topics,faculty, program structure and site are selected specifically to maximize learning and the effectiveness of the program for organizations. This is a practical program designed for Kenya Power; a parastatal responsible for the transmission, distribution and retail of electricity throughout Kenya that emphasizes on thinking strategically, managing negotiations, building a common dialogue and integrating various cultures.
The training, which will take place over a period of 9 months, will focus on a coherent body of knowledge on leadership, ethics, operations and public policy guiding KP in managing its business. The SBS faculty will hold forte in the training and has many years of experience in teaching and research in their respective fields. They have consulted widely,served on boards of directors and are distinguished by their ability to bring this broad understanding to bear on the practical problems organizations face.
