East Meets West in Modular Program

  Sep 28, 2012

Module III of the Advanced Management Program was merged with the Chief Executive Program from Lagos Business School, Nigeria. The six CEP participants who are chief executives of top Nigerian companies as well as multinational organisations operating in Nigeria attended part of the module and garnered knowledge from the AMP participants whoare Kenyan CEOs and directors in private and public sectors.

The module was taught by seasoned lecturers who included Dr. Franca Ovadje, Frank Ojadi, Prof. Martinez, Michael Goldman and Sunny Bindra and covered a diverse range of issues in communication change, operational strategy, implementing change, brand positioning and corporate strategy.

A welcoming cocktail in honor of the CEP participants was later hosted at the business school with attendance from the Nigerian High Commissioner to Kenya, Ambassador Solomon Oyateru and Dr. Bitange Ndemo, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Communications. The two speakers emphasized on the business link between the East and the West, specifically Kenya and Nigeria.

The Advanced Management Program is led jointly by Strathmore Business School (SBS) and IESE Business School, Barcelona Spain and helps business leaders to develop the professional and personal capabilities required to successfully meet their professional endeavours. It offers an invaluable opportunity to learn from high-calibre faculty members, interact with a group of senior-level peers and strengthen leadership skills.

The program broadens the vision of business, and introduces the challenges and opportunities of today’s global business environment while emphasising on the human and ethical roots of management.
