The graduating students were business executives ranging from Chief Executive Officers and Company Directors in the Advanced Management program (AMP), Head of Departments in the Senior Management Leadership program (SMLP), Business Owners in the Owner Manager program (OMP), Middle level Managers in the Program for Management Development (PMD), Executives of Healthcare Institutions in the Leading High-Performing Healthcare Organizations (LEHHO). Scientists and Innovators in the Bio-Entrepreneurship Program.(Bio-ENT).
The chief guest in attendance was Mr. Ali Mufuruki, the Co-Founder of the Africa Leadership Initiative at the Aspen Institute who is also the Chairman and CEO of InfoTech Investment Group LTD of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Dr. George Njenga, Dean of SBS welcomed the graduands and their families to the business School and then proceeded to welcome the chief guest Mr Ali Mufuruki to give a keynote address on ‘Realising Africa’s Potential’, a message deliberately coined for the graduands and their invited guests.
Mr. Mufuruki commended the participants on their achievement so far acknowledging them for their leadership skills as well as wishing them all the best as they seek to take Africa Forward. He gave this talk as part of his initiative to grow African leaders. Mentioning, – for Africa to rise there is a lot of work that needs to be done and it requires capacity, numbers, and skills.
