This week marks an exciting milestone for the Strathmore Global Institute in Ethiopia as we kicked off a training Programme for 15 middle-level managers from Unilever Ethiopia and Habesha Breweries through the Programme for Management Development (PMD). This Programme is being offered in collaboration with Capital Business School (CBS), Ethiopia.

This Programme is the inaugural training as part of the partnership between Strathmore Business School and Capital Business School, Ethiopia to empower executives and business leaders in Ethiopia through executive education Programmes.

In his keynote address, Teodros Abraham, the Chairman of Canal Plus Ethiopia, highlighted the significance of nurturing local business leaders committed to driving meaningful impact in Ethiopia. He urged participants to embrace a service-oriented mindset and prioritize the greater good—an ethos that resonates deeply with Strathmore University’s core principles.

During this week-long Programme, the participants have gone through intensive sessions curated to enhance their leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and experiential learning, the participants have gained insights into effective management practices and develop strategies to overcome challenges in today’s dynamic business environment.
Middle-level managers are the backbone of every successful organization, and through PMD, we’re dedicated to equip middle level managers with the tools and mindset needed to thrive while fostering a culture of positive leadership and cultivate a growth mindset among participants.

The Programme for Management Development represents more than just a training opportunity—it’s a catalyst for personal and professional growth, paving the way for middle-level managers to become catalysts for positive change within their organizations and beyond.
