Between November 13th and 17th, 2023, 23 participants from the CEO Apprentice Programme (CAP) Tanzania, Class of 2023, visited Strathmore University Business School (SBS) for their regional module. This cohort has a rich participant mix, comprising executive committee members, general managers, directors, chief operating officers, chief executive officers, and other high-ranking leaders from various sectors in Tanzania.
Facilitated by SBS, in collaboration with the CEO Roundtable of Tanzania, CAP aims to cultivate local talent and leadership expertise within Tanzania, reducing reliance on expatriates for key organizational roles.
This module provided the participants with a profound understanding of the business landscape in Kenya and East Africa. This strategic focus aligns with the broader objectives of the Programme, ensuring that participants gain insights into regional markets, fostering a holistic and well-rounded perspective on business dynamics.
The collaboration between Strathmore Business School and the CEO Roundtable of Tanzania underscores a commitment to developing strong, indigenous leadership, thereby contributing to the long-term growth and sustainability of Tanzanian businesses. Through CAP, the participants not only benefit from the academic rigour of the Programme but also from exposure to diverse business environments, enriching their leadership journey and preparing them for the challenges of executive roles.
