Between 5th and 9th June 2023, we trained 18 Catholic Sisters from Zambia in Level 1 of the Leading and Managing Sustainable Social Enterprises Programme. The Sisters trained were drawn from 18 congregations across Zambia and comprised mother superiors, superior generals, and regional, provincial, and delegate superiors.
This Programme aims at enabling the participants to recognize the role and value of the social enterprise to their congregations and map and maximize the resources available to their congregations towards generating a surplus for their social enterprise sustainability.
By the end of the Programme, the sisters were able to develop practical insights into developing and creating meaningful asset management strategies to align with the congregations objectives.
Post the in-class sessions, the sisters visited Kasisi Organic agricultural farm where they had the opportunity to learn more about the activities of this social enterprises.
