The Sisters’ Blended Value Project (SBVP) Hosts the President of the Conrad N. Hilton for a Field Visit to Kenya

Wednesday, 12th July 2023 was a special day for Strathmore University Business School and the Sisters Blended Value Project as they hosted Peter Laugharn, president of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation who is in the country for a field visit to see the work being done by and for Catholic Sisters in Kenya.

Dr. Angela Ndunge, the Principal Investigator for the Sisters’ Blended Value Project (SBVP) highlighted the various milestones that the project has achieved over the past one and a half year. “In 2022, the project trained 292 sisters in 3 Programmes: the Project Management Programme (PMP), the Social Enterprise Programme, Start-Up & the Social Enterprise Programme, Growth. This year we have trained 79 sisters so far; 25 in Kenya, 18 in Uganda, 18 in Tanzania and 18 in Zambia,” Dr. Ndunge noted.

The Sisters Blended Value Project is implemented by Strathmore Business School (SBS) in partnership with the Association of Consecrated Women in Eastern and Central Africa (ACWECA) and is funded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. The objective of this project is to build sustainable social enterprises through developing capacities, supporting networks & information hubs, & building a robust financial services solution.
