Strathmore University Business School and REITs Association of Kenya (RAK) Forge a Strategic Partnership for REITs Growth
Tuesday, 12th September 2023 marked the beginning of a new journey for Strathmore University Business School and the REITs Association of Kenya (RAK), to collaborate on research and allied endeavors that will promote the growth of the Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) in Kenya.
This collaboration with see the two organizations partner in several key initiatives aimed at fostering mutually beneficial engagements and enhancing access to strategic networks and shared resources.
This partnership will further serve as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and information regarding innovative experiences and critical development issues related to Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). Through these efforts, both parties will work together towards creating a more skilled and resourceful workforce while addressing critical issues in the Kenyan real estate market. At its core, the collaboration seeks to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and information, drawing from innovative experiences and addressing critical development issues pertaining to Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
Speaking during the MoU signing event, Dr. Angela Ndunge, Deputy Executive Dean at StrathmoreUniversity Business School noted the university’s commitment to developing great African leaders over the years. “Since the inception of Strathmore University Business School in 2005, we have consistently trained numerous business executives in international executive management and leadership courses across the African continent,” she noted.
Kenneth Masika, chairman of the REITs Association of Kenya expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, “we are thrilled to embark on this groundbreaking partnership with Strathmore University. Our shared goal is to elevate industry knowledge, explore inventive investment prospects, and actively contribute to evidence-based policy development for the sustainable advancement of the real estate sector. Through the combined efforts of our expertise and resources, we are confident that our collaboration will serve as a catalyst for substantial transformation, innovation, and growth within the real estate sector.’’
Through these concerted efforts, Strathmore University Business School and the REITs Association of Kenya will work in harmony to nurture a more skilled and resourceful workforce.
This collaborative endeavor represents a promising step forward in advancing the REITs landscape in Kenya, promoting knowledge exchange, and collectively addressing the evolving needs of the real estate sector.
