Strathmore Global Institute – Uganda Graduates 130 Executives

In Kampala, Uganda, on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Strathmore Global Institute celebrated the graduation of 130 executives from diverse programmes. Notably, 5 participants successfully completed the Executive Coaching for Managers Programme (ECM), 20 graduated with a Leading and Managing Sustainable Social Enterprises certificate, 21 participants concluded the Managing Social Enterprise Programme, and 28 earned certificates in the Foundations of Social Entrepreneurship Management Programme. Additional programs contributing to the graduation cohort include the Senior Management Development Programme, Management Development Programme, and the Women in Leadership Programme.

While giving her welcome note address, Dr. Angela Ndunge, the Deputy Executive Dean, emphasized that the graduation marked an academic milestone. It is also a celebration of leaders poised to embark on the journey of fostering sustainable businesses for Africa. She highlighted the institution’s commitment to imparting theoretical knowledge and instilling a profound sense of the greater good and the essential skills for purposeful leadership. Dr. Angela expressed pride in graduating leaders ready to envision, innovate, and reconstruct businesses, emphasizing the collective potential for a positive societal impact.

The keynote address from Dr. Elizabeth Gachenga, Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Academic and Student Affairs at Strathmore University, implored the graduating business leaders to consistently embrace integrity and trust both as individuals and within their organizations. “Learn continually – there’s always one more thing to learn,” she emphasized.
