
Strathmore University Business School on 25th February 2021, graduated eight Senior Managers in the Senior Management Development Programme (SMDP) Uganda. This Programme is offered by the SBS Uganda Leadership Development Academy. The Programme attracted Senior Managers from various companies and industries such as Centenary Bank, American Tower Corporation, Equatorial Engen, Uganda Red Cross Society, and NCBA Uganda.
The SMDP Programme was designed to equip the managers with adequate skills in the various aspects of leadership and management. The Programme further provided participants with insights and tools to enable them to become magnanimous leaders.
Despite the uncertainty arising from the Covid-19 pandemic, the participants completed the three modules during which they covered topics including but not limited to personal leadership, managing change, and navigating organisational politics. The Programme climaxed with an industry guest speaker session during which the guest speaker, Mr. Herbert Olowo, Chief Information Officer, Stanbic Bank gave the participants insights on leadership. He gave insights on ‘The Disrupted Leader’ where participants were encouraged to keep evolving to keep up with the VUCA environment to avoid obsolescence.
