Last week, we graduated 92 participants from the Platcorp Group Limited in a customized Programme dubbed Leading the Platcorp Way. Of the participants graduating, 30 were from Kenya, 24 from Tanzania, and 38 from Uganda. The participants were managers and individuals at supervisory level from the various subsidiaries of the Platcorp Group.
This customized Programme aimed to provide insights and tools to develop the participants’ leadership qualities and team engagement capabilities necessary to be an effective leader in today’s global work environment. Further, the Programme aimed to prepare the participants for growth into positions of greater responsibility within the organization.
By going through this Programme, the participants were equipped with practical skills to enhance the quality of their decision making, to promote authentic leadership, and motivate their teams.
Dr. Angela Ndunge, Deputy Executive Dean at SBS, congratulated the participants for their tenacity and commitment to completing the Programme. She urged them to not just keep the knowledge and skills they had gained but to go ahead and apply them in the workplace.
Nafisa Sarkar, the Group HR Manager and a participant in the Programme; said that she was excited to have been a part of this training and applauded all the participants for their dedication throughout the Training Programme.
Representing the Management Executive Committee, James Mugambi, Managing Director Premier Credit noted that the management was very impressed with the outcome of the training as it had seen the potential of all the participants come out fully. He further noted that the management would take into consideration the projects that participants had come up with and even look into their implementation.
