SBS Trains Small and Micro Entrepreneurs in Mombasa

We seek to truly transform our participants.” Those were the words echoed by Dr. George Njenga, Dean, Strathmore Business School in regards to the partnership with the Coastal Development Authority. Through the partnership, SBS was tasked with the responsibility of training small and micro entrepreneurs in all counties of Mombasa.

SBS held a training for 70 small and Micro entrepreneurs from Taita Taveta, Lamu and Tana river Counties at Pwani University in Kilifi. The training was officially opened by the Kenyan Ambassador to Burundi, H.E .Benjamin A.Mweri and was led by Dr. Fred Ogola, a senior faculty member at SBS.

Dr. Ogola pointed out the zeal and enhuthiasm of the participants throughout the training. The participants were taken through various sessions such as writing business plans, loan management, record keeping, product marketing, business opportunities and ethical business practices. The participants were required to write an action plan for their business, which would be followed up by the Coastal Development Authority.
