The Kenya Mpya initiative in partnership Vision 2030 Secretariat, I Choose Life-Africa, and Media Focus for Africa, held a forum themed ‘The People’s Development Recipe’ on Tuesday September 4, 2012 at Strathmore Business School. The focus of the forum was cascading Vision 2030 to the county level.
Kenya Mpya is a movement of Kenyans that seeks to bring about issue based, result oriented and people-centred leadership in the country as a key to accelerate national development. The movement is not political, it only seeks to be a catalyst for achieving Vision 2030; it is an initiative of I Choose Life-Africa, other civil societies and the Government of Kenya.
The key speakers included Mugo Kibati, Director general of Vision 2030, Micah Cheserem, chairman, Commision of Revenue Allocation, Kinuthia Wamwangi, chairman, County Transitional Authority, Julius Muia, secretary National Economics Social Council (NESC) and Mike Mutungi, CEO – I Choose Life-Africa.
