Men and Women of the Hour: MBA Students Graduate

  Jun 26, 2015

Nothing could have said it better other than the culmination of a colorful graduation spectacle. Adorned on blue and red hooded gowns the Strathmore Business School Masters of Business Administration graduates were all set to reap the harvest of two years of toil.

The MBA program has been in existence for eight years since the inception of the Business school, with this year marking the highest number of graduates.

This year’s graduation, celebrated on the feast day of Saint Josemaría Escrivá- the founder of Opus dei and the inspiration of the institution, was a cognisant reminder of the institutions values in excellence through the sanctification of work, freedom and responsibility, ethical practice, life-long learning and service to society.

Starting off the occasion; Ms. Bernadette Musundi-Chairperson of the University Council congratulated all the graduates, highlighting the importance of virtuous leaders, of whom the society has fallen short of. Aware of the workings of life’s fetes and fights, Ms. Musundi shared a quote from Martin Luther King, who said “Ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy” on this, she emphasized on the need to be virtuous at all times, driven not by selfish interests, but striving to achieve the common good.

Solid remarks followed suit with addresses from Vice Chancellor: Prof John Odhiambo, and the Pro Chancellor: Rev. Dr. Silvano Ochuodho, voicing different spectrums of life intricacies.

Inevitably, life’s journey is characterized by a beginning and an ending, so explains a graduates’ tenure at a learning institution. Congratulations to our MBA students:
