Despite the existence of numerous development finance institutions around the world, the emphasis placed on development finance training with a focus on issues relating to financial development has been minimal.
Strathmore Business School Master of Science in Development Finance is designed to bridge the enormous skills gap in this critical sector. The Master Programme ushered its inaugural class of 57 participants on 3rd November 2017, providing essential skills which will equip graduates as competent practitioners for successful careers in public finance, bank and non-bank financial institutions, international finance organizations, aid agencies, academic and research institutions and NGOs.
The MSc. Development Finance in partnership with Africa Growth has a strong practice-oriented approach, integrating practitioners into teaching and research, as well as an industry-oriented master’s dissertation. Participants of the program will be expected to have an enhanced commitment to the development agenda and public service. In addition they qualify for the Chartered Development Finance Analyst (CDFA) membership which is awarded by Chartered Institute of Development Finance.
