Invitation to the GE Africa Destination launch and Leadership talk

  Jan 24, 2014

As GE continues to grow its operations in Africa, there is an immediate need to attract and manage top talent in a competitive and highly diverse marketplace. In just 2 years, GE has grown from being a 800-employee operation to an 1800-employee operation…and this number is expected to grow further in the next few years!

Yet in today’s marketplace, it is no longer enough to just define ourselves as a great company to work for in the region – one must always seek to stand out and be different. One great way to do this is to tap into local innovation and responsible leadership practices that already exist in our company to produce content that will engage the right talent, in the right way and at the right time.

Destination Africa is about emphasizing the Africa growth opportunities and the good work GE is doing.

We are developing our next big thing that will better position GE as an employer of choice!

Susan Peters, Senior Vice President, Human Resources who is responsible for GE’s global workforce of 320,000 will give a leadership talk at the SBS auditorium on Tuesday 28th January 2014 from 3.00pm to 4.30pm after which she will launch their Destination Africa website.
